In 1996, Taliah launched her first namesake collection of natural, chemical free, hair care products. But Taliah Waajid Black Earth Products stood alone as the first collection of its kind. In the nineties, most women were using harsh chemical relaxers as they were told natural hair looked “unkempt and unprofessional”.

To help educate consumers and retail buyers about this new beauty category she founded The Natural Hair, Health, Beauty Show where today over 30,000 women are in attendance.

Her men’s collection, Uncle Jimmy, launched in 2018.
