Nancy Fechnay is the founder of Unique Ventures, an organization that advises and builds positive impact companies.

She has over 15 years of experience as a venture capitalist and entrepreneur. She has co-founded three tech companies, resulting in one exit and one ‘future of work’ company (backed by Index Ventures, Atomico Angels and Outlier Ventures - all top tier funds in Europe), one pro-sports team, and a mental health non-profit alongside Google.

In 2023, she stepped down to Emeritus Partner of Alumni Ventures and founded Unique Ventures in order to focus all of her financial resources, network, expertise, and time on making a positive impact in the world. Under Unique Ventures, Nancy and her team select and source winning investments to a handful of funds (Alumni Ventures, Gaingels, & Necessary Ventures), make select investments on behalf of Nancy’s personal portfolio, and take an involved approach to working within companies and firms as a fractional operator and advisor.

Under Unique Ventures, Nancy has served as a hands-on advisor to several companies, including HumAIn Ventures, Necessary Ventures and Multiscale.

Nancy regularly speaks at events and advises companies on how to keep adapting and growing through fast-paced change.

Nancy’s experience allows her the unique ability to work with and add value to a wide range of sectors and companies. Her network of investors and founders that she has built over 15+ years of operating in this space is invaluable to companies just starting out or those trying to get to their first IPO.
