With two decades of media experience, Kristen Kenney (also known as KK) has worked all over the globe as a broadcaster covering the NBA's Utah Jazz, the 2012 London Olympics, the Russia World University Games, NBC's Red Bull Rallycross, to even hosting a Golf Channel series in Jamaica and producing a documentary in Africa.
She was recognized as Utah's Top 30 Women to Watch for breaking barriers as the first female broadcaster with the Utah Jazz and creating one of Utah's top fitness brands, PEAK|45. She spent five seasons traveling with the NBA while simultaneously starting PEAK|45 in an effort to diversify her income. PEAK|45 has expanded to five locations in Utah.
Prior to sports journalism, she filmed an award-winning documentary in Africa where she contracted severe malaria. Her near-death experience motivated her to launch a non-profit, Malaika For Life, and partner with Malaria No More and the United Nations to raise funds with her 'Buy a bracelet save a Life' campaign. This became a global grassroots movement featured on the cover of ESPN Magazine, En Vogue, The Doctors, and more.
