Ara Katz is co-founder and co-CEO of Seed Health, a microbiome science company pioneering innovations in probiotics and living medicines to impact human and planetary health.

With experience at the intersection of health, consumer tech, media, and design, Ara has led award-winning work in science communication and storytelling under the Seed brand, with recognition by Inc. Best in Business, Female Founders 100, TIME Best Inventions, and Fast Company's World Changing Ideas, among others. Ara also authored 'A Kids Book About Your Microbiome' to offer the next generation of kids (and their grownups!) a powerful new framework to understand their bodies and health.

Ara is co-founder of Seed Health's environmental division, SeedLabs, and LUCA Biologics, Seed Health’s women’s health venture in partnership with Dr. Jacques Ravel, which develops living medicines targeting the vaginal microbiome for unmet needs in urogenital and reproductive health.
