An ever-growing expert in plant-based living and the microbiome, DuBoise is a certified Holistic Health Coach and Nutritionist who is currently pursuing her masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine.

Hailing from the spiritual mecca of Sedona, Arizona, DuBoise came to New York City as a pre-med college student. Supporting herself through school as an actress and model, she suffered from a dysfunctional cycle of body image issues and uncomfortable weight fluctuations from yo-yo dieting, leaving her constantly dissatisfied with her own body.

After Sakara co-founder and then roommate, Whitney Tingle checked DuBoise into the hospital for pneumonia following a 7 day cleanse, the long-time friends decided to take their health into their own hands. DuBoise and Tingle combined modern western medicine with ancient eastern healing techniques to change their own bodies and minds, thus creating Sakara Life’s Proprietary Pillars of Nutrition. Since 2012, Sakara has transformed millions of lives through the healing power of plants.

For her work as a pioneer in the wellness space and vocal advocate for plants as medicine, DuBoise has been honored in Forbes' 30 under 30, Oprah's SuperSoul 100, Goldman Sachs ‘Most Interesting Entrepreneurs’ and MindBodyGreen's 100 Women in Wellness. Born and raised in Arizona, Danielle stays true to her Sedona roots while living in NYC with her husband, daughter, and newborn son.
